THE BEAT WITHIN gives a voice to the voiceless and compels empathy for
the growing population of incarcerated youth. Their mission encourages literacy,
self-expression, and critical thinking skills to support a non-violent, productive
life. TBW serves over 7500 youth annually through workshops operated across
California county juvenile halls.
